Outreach
We believe in God's power to transform lives, and we are committed to sharing what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. He calls us to be unwavering in our values, disciplined in our lifestyle and focused in seeking God's Kingdom. As Graham Blake, who heads up DC3, puts it: "We want to see an open heaven over our communities".
We try to share the truth about Jesus with the people around us in these direct ways...
Alpha
Our Harleston and Diss congregations both run Alpha courses.
- This is a nationwide initiative that gives a basic introduction to Christianity
- We share some food, listen to a short talk and then break into groups for discussion
- It is a very open and honest environment in which to explore questions and experiences
- There is no pressure to become a Christian and no requirement to be, or become, a member of DC3
Schools Work
- We run Christian lunchtime clubs and regularly take assemblies in the following schools: Diss Infants, Juniors and High School, Harleston Primary and High School
Small Groups
One of our goals for 2010 is for our small groups to be freed up to serve our communities and share the Gospel in their own ways. For example, different groups...
- Distributed around 2000 eco-lightbulbs during Harleston's Late Night Shopping, with the message "Jesus is the Light of the World"
- Pray regularly for the Tailor Road estate and offer prayer for residents of the Tailor Road Community. From time to time they also run children's activity mornings and family quiz nights
