Leaford is a long-term friend of DC3 who looks after a number of churches in Jamaica. Our support enables him to work effectively in a very poor country.
In September 2004, Jamaica was badly hit by Hurricane Ivan. A special offering was held here at DC3 which raised £950 to help Leaford and the church rebuild their building which was severely damaged by the hurricane and also to help church members rebuild their homes or to build completely new homes where they were damaged beyond repair.
Since that time rebuilding has been completed and the church was reopened in July. Further damage was caused by another hurricane this year which also meant that further rebuilding was required.
We have been asked to pray for the provision of an assistant pastor for the church.
